Job Announcement: Scientific Director and Administration Responsible of FGG
FGG is a Spanish no-profit Foundation and operates the TNG, a 3.6m telescope equipped with state of the art high resolution spectrographs (HARPS-N and GIANO-B) and other multi purpose imaging/spectro FOSCc ameras (DOLORESa nd NICS).
The Director of FGG shall be an active astrophysicist with a significant publication record and with proven experience in the operation and management of scientific projects. Due to the international environment of the La Palma observatories , the knowledge of more languages will be considered, with priority given to Italian, English, Spanish.
The successful candidate should be available before 1 January 2018, and will be based on La Palma. Contract: It is a 5-years appointment with possibility of renewal. Gross salary is in the range 90-120 k€ per year, depending on candidate qualification, subject to proper income taxes and social security deductions. This position is equally open to suitably, any gender, qualified applicants.
